Plant 3 Opening

On the 20th of February 2020, Haywards employees, local suppliers & special guest Liberal Senator Claire Chandler officially opened out newest workshop, known as Plant 3 on our western junction site. The additional almost 4000 spm of workshop space create 20 additional full time skilled positions. Along with additional career opportunities for Tasmanian's this facility will allow Haywards the capabilities to win larger tenders as the infrastructure and construction industry look towards larger component pieces.

With a larger facility came the requirement for larger machinery, four 80 tonne overhead cranes have been installed across the two bays allowing capabilities to fabricate and construct components well in excess of 100 tonnes. The acquisition of larger sub-arc boom welders allow for an increase productivity whilst maintaining quality of work to the highest level.

Haywards have upheld a high reputation with the quality of their work in the country, this new, modern facility is a prize investment to continue uphold such a name.
